Bichon Frise Club of San Diego Designated Specialty Show

Join us in conjunction with the Bahia Sur Kennel Club of Chula Vista All Breed Shows on Saturday, June 15, 2024, with supported entries on Friday, June 14, and Sunday, June 16, 2024. Dogs owned or co-owned by Officers, Show Chair, members of the Event Committee, and members of their households will be eligible for entry at this event. Trophies & Rosettes: All winners will receive Rosettes, and some placements will also receive additional gifts as indicated. Trophies include Best of Breed, Best of Opposite Sex to Best of Breed, Best of Winners, Winner’s Dog and Winner’s Bitch, Select Dog, Select Bitch, Award of Merit, and Best Owner Handler, each receiving a special Rosette & dog statue.

Challenge Trophies: Challenge Trophies, including the Founder’s Challenge Trophy, The Tim Carroll, O’Toole Therapy Dog Memorial Challenge Trophy, The Best of Winners Challenge Trophy, The Bernice Devine Richardson Challenge Trophy, and The CH Drewlaine’s Eau De Love Challenge Trophy, are awarded according to specific criteria.

Puppy Sweepstakes: Open to Bichon Frise aged 6 to 15 months, with classifications for Dogs and Bitches. Winners of each class compete for Best in Puppy Sweepstakes and Best of Opposite Sex to Best in Puppy Sweepstakes.

Sweepstakes Prize Money: Prize money is allocated based on entries, with 15% retained for Club expenses and the remainder divided equally between Best Puppy in Sweepstakes and Best of Opposite Sex to Best Puppy in Sweepstakes.

Award of Merit: The judge may award an Award of Merit to up to two of all specials entered in the Best of Breed competition, with recipients receiving a Rosette and a Dog Statue.

National Owner Handler Series Competition: Exhibitors can declare their dog as Owner-Handler eligible, with Best of Breed Owner Handler receiving points, a Rosette, and a Dog Statue.

New Title Rosettes: Any Bichon Frise finishing an AKC Champion or Grand Champion title on Friday, Saturday, or Sunday will receive a New Title Rosette from the Bichon Frise Club of San Diego.
